HOW THE PICK-UP SERVICE WORKS
- Green Quest drops off a 5 gallon bucket, air tight lid, Bokashi bran and magnetic instruction sheet.
- You fill the bucket with organic material and layer with Bokashi bran.
- When filled leave Bucket out, we pick up and leave a clean bucket, lid. Leave the empty bran jar and we'll refill or replace it as needed.
- Food scraps are delivered to a local farm and "turned" into rich organic matter. There the farmer can grow crops in the nutrient rich soil.
- After 4 months of continued service, you receive clean screened local compost or topsoil (75% compost) in the spring delivered to your driveway. Amount of "soil return" is based on amount generated.
PICK UP SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Sprinkle Bokashi brand in bottom of bucket.
- Add organic matter (Check Yes List) Smaller pieces better.
- Sprinkle more bran each time organic matter is added. A few tablespoons for a small amount; a handful for a large amount.
- Repeat until bucket is full. Press and compact contents for more space.
- Set bucket(s) outside in designated area for pick-up.
- GQ driver will take organics and leave a clean bucket, lid and bran each pick up.
