Green Quest is a family owned and operated business. We offer years of experience in gardening, composting, the food service industry and construction. We are utilizing our experience to feed soil, build gardens and connect community members. We help our community compost organic material - keeping it out of the landfill - by turning it into organic matter that creates healthier soil and healthier plants. Using the abundant resource - food waste - to replenish the soil - also creates more sustainable food and economic cycles. Green Quest can create a difference in the community about our perceptions and habits involving food.
We believe in local. We believe in local commerce, goods and services. We support farmers and farmers markets. We are creating awareness by informing and educating our community on the impacts of wasted food. We are proud of the cultural diversity, unique topography and lush landscapes of the Garden State. We believe the time has come for New Jersey (the most densely populated state) to be a leader in organic waste diversion. One step at a time, we are building awareness that the food we eat (and don't eat) is an amazingly valuable resource. A simple switch from the garbage can to the compost pail can mean an economic and environmental windfall for New Jersey. It is already happening and we are so psyched to be a part of this new dynamic.
We are currently working with local schools, farms, churches, free lunch programs and area residents diverting food waste out of the municipal waste stream and back into the soil. Creating and care taking healthy soil is an important piece in the current food puzzle. All efforts to grow healthy food and a thriving food recycling economy are greatly needed. We are looking forward to working with local restaurants, smoothie shops and community gardens.
